Chiropractic care

The word means ‘done by hand’ and is a natural approach to supporting your health and wellbeing. It is the third largest healthcare profession in the West and does not involve drugs or surgery.

Chiropractors make specific adjustments to your musculoskeletal system, particularly your spine, in order to:

  • Restore nerve function
  • Alleviate symptoms
  • Promote self-healing
  • Facilitate long-term wellbeing.

There are many different techniques, including those that involve manipulation (cavitation of a joint to produce an audible release ie a crack or popping sound) and those that do not. Different approaches suit different people, and some conditions are contraindicated for manipulation.

At Walking Tall we offer spinal manipulative therapy in the form of Diversified technique, as well as non-manipulative approaches including McTimoney and Koren Specific (instrument adjusting with an Arthrostim).
